Falconry Displays

Falconer with Children

Weekends at 1.30pm

The spectacular falconry displays at Leeds Castle have proved to be a huge hit with visitors of all ages.

Majestic birds of prey including buzzards, eagles, falcons, hawks, vultures and owls delight visitors with displays choreographed to music by castle falconers Leigh and Jo Holmes. Audience participation, particularly for youngsters, features prominently in the demonstrations, which give a fascinating insight into the birds’ natural habitat, diet and behaviour.

Darlene the Seriema, Lurch the African White-Backed Vulture and Jack, the only free-flying Augur Buzzard in the UK, can be seen.

Held near the famous yew maze, the displays are at 1.30pm, weekends only (weather permitting). In addition, birds including Hawks, Falcons, Vultures, Eagles and a Laughing Kookaburra are also on display for visitors.
